Original research involves designing and conducting a study to answer a specific clinical or scientific question using real patient data.
This may include:
Each study is developed and reported according to the appropriate international guideline such as STROBE for observational studies, CHERRIES for survey-based research, RECORD for retrospective data-based studies, and other relevant reporting standards based on study design.
Original research is the most valued form of academic work. At its core, it involves working with real data, whether collected directly from patients and clinical records, gathered through structured surveys, or sourced from publicly available datasets and analysing it to answer a specific question. This engagement with real-world data is what sets original research apart and demonstrates genuine scientific capability.
It shows that you can identify a gap, design a study, work with and interpret data, and draw meaningful conclusions, a skillset that carries weight in every academic and clinical setting.
A publishable study requires:
We ensure each of these elements is correctly defined and aligned from the outset, so the study is built to be publishable.
We support you across five stages including idea and study design, protocol and ethics, data planning, statistical analysis, and manuscript writing through to submission and publication.
In the personalized track, we take the lead at every stage, tailoring the study to your research question, managing ethics, performing analysis with detailed explanation, and driving the manuscript drafting and submission process with your input and approval.
In the Research Mentorship Batch track, the study framework is predefined and statistical analysis is handled by our in-house biostatistician. Participants contribute to literature review, data preparation including tables and summaries, and manuscript writing, with continuous guidance from the team throughout. We manage the submission process end to end.
Not necessarily. If you are affiliated with a hospital or institution, you may already have access to patient records or clinical data that aligns with your research interest and we build the study around that. If clinical data is not available, original research is still very much possible through web-based studies, survey-based research, or secondary data analysis. This is also the most common approach in our Research Mentorship Batches.
It depends on where you are in your research journey. If you have data, share it with us in any format, we will take it from there. If you are at the idea stage, a brief description of your area of interest is enough to begin the conversation.
Yes. All data shared with us is handled with strict confidentiality. Patient identifiers are managed in line with ethical standards, and your research data is never shared outside the team handling your project.
Yes. We perform the statistical analysis for both the personalized and batch tracks. Beyond the numbers, we ensure you understand the tests used, what the results mean, and their clinical relevance.
Yes. We walk you through the methods used, what the results mean, and how to present and defend them.
Yes. If you have completed or are nearing completion of your thesis, we can help extract the most publishable components, restructure them to meet journal standards, and take it through the full manuscript development and submission process.
Yes. In the personalized track, you are positioned as the primary author (first or corresponding author), with senior authorship attributed to supervising faculty where required, and co-authors included in line with their contribution.
In the Research Mentorship Batch track, authorship follows ICMJE guidelines and is based on contribution. Roles such as first author or corresponding author are assigned based on the level of responsibility and contribution you take on during the project.
We target indexed journals appropriate to your study type, specialty, and academic goals including PubMed, Scopus, and DOAJ-indexed titles, among other internationally recognised publications. Journal selection is always discussed and agreed with you before submission.
No service providers can ethically guarantee publication and any that claims to should be approached with caution.
What we guarantee is the quality of the work. We ensure your study is designed and reported in line with the appropriate international guidelines, aligned with a suitable journal, and developed to a high standard of scientific writing. We remain involved through submission, peer review, and revision cycles until the paper reaches publication.
To date, all original research studies we have supported have successfully been published.
We review the reviewer feedback, strengthen the manuscript accordingly, identify suitable alternative journals, and support the full resubmission process. We stay with you until the paper finds a home.
Manuscript development typically takes 3–4 weeks. The time to publication beyond that depends on the journal's review and processing timeline, which varies by publication.
